Fully Granted Six-day Seminar in Kavala – Greece

Kavala is a coastal city in northern Greece. Thanks to the favourable environmental conditions and its strategic location, the human population choose it as a place of residence from the Neolithic period. Rich cultural heritage is framed here by a landscape of great beauty.
This cultural heritage, numbering at least 7.000 years of History, meets the experience of the Environmental Educational Centre of Philippi, giving a highly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary seminar, which will take place in the excavation site of a Neolithic settlement (Dikili Tash) in the region of Kavala. The program has been enhanced with a one-day visit to the beautiful island of Thassos, where the Greek history of the Classical period is strongly present.
Sustainability, culture and art in adult education under the summer sky of Greece. The course is fully funded by the EU.

Can I join?
The course is intended for adults’ educators. So should the applicants be somehow involved in adult education, as educators directly or as support staff.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The seminar is open to practically everybody who is involved in education or training:
·         Trainees and adult learners;
·         Teachers, trainers and other staff involved in any aspect of lifelong learning;
·         Institutions or organisations providing learning opportunities in any area of adult education or training;
·         The persons and bodies responsible for systems and policies concerning any specific aspect of lifelong learning at local, regional and national level;
·         Bodies providing guidance, counselling and information services relating to any aspect of lifelong learning;
·         Associations working in the field of lifelong learning;
·         Research centres and bodies concerned with adults’ education and training issues.
The lifelong learning National Agencies as well as their staff are not eligible for any action of the Lifelong Learning Programme unless explicitly provided for. The legal entities hosting the lifelong learning National Agencies can participate exclusively in actions managed through the Commission procedure, see section 3.A below. Please consult the specific sections of this Guide for information on who can participate in which part of the programme.
How can I apply?
You need to send in a request TO YOUR National Agency. The process may be slightly different in each country, so we suggest you to contact your National Agency. Find the contact details in (http://ec.europa.eu/education/lifelong-learning-programme/national_en.htm#benl)
You need also to register your interest in our organization, which will send you an acceptance to participate. This letter of acceptance will join the main application.
